Award: Progress FM emerges best radio station in North East
Progress radio has emerged winner of the best radio station in the North East at the 15th Nigeria Media Nite-out Awards 2021.
The Chief Operating Officer of the organisation Emma Dada, said the station was chosen after passing certain criteria that involved different media monitoring mechanisms.
Dada made this revelation on Saturday, in Lagos, adding that the station over the past year has portrayed professionalism
Periscope Nigeria reports that the yearly media Nite-out awards serves as a platform to celebrate hard work, dedication, depth. This year also had Television Continental winning the TV station of the year, while the popular Journalists Hangout was crowned with the current affairs programme of the year.
He added that after rigorous procedures and review of stations activities Progress Radio bagged the award as the best radio station in the northeast.
Reacting to the award, Managing Director of Progress Radio Ibrahim Biu, expressed joy over the award describing ‘it as call to service.’
He noted that the station would be spored to doing more in educating, informing and entertaining the numerous listeners.
Biu added that despite the challenges faced as private media operator in the country particularly in North, Progress Radio will continue to do it best in enlightening the public.
“We will also remain the voice of the voiceless,” he said.
