Gombe approves appointment of 102 Directors
Gombe State Government has announced the appointment of 102 Directors.
Announcing the lists of the newly approved list of directors, head of civil service Bappayo Yahaya said the rules and conditions for their elevation was duly followed.
The directors include; 31 persons in charge of administration and 71 other professionals cutting across Ministries Departments and Agencies.
According to him, the approval was based on merit and rewards for hard work and dedication to duty, stressing the need for them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the government.
“The office of the head of civil service Gombe wishes to announce the approval for the appointment of 102 new directors in the state civil service by the governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the letters will be released to the newly appointed directors immediately.
“Let me emphasize that in the process of the appointments, all the guiding rules and conditions of the service on such appointments were meticulously and strictly observed. May I therefore use this opportunity to congratulate all the successful officers for the well deserved which were based on merit and rewards for hard work and dedication to duty,” Yahaya said.
He noted that this is part of the governor’s effort at repositioning the civil service by rewarding those deserving of such promotion.
He added, “It is pertinent to restate Governor Yahaya’s determination to reposition the state civil service for efficient service delivery as evident by the laudable reform process being executed in the state particularly the ongoing biometric verification and attendance screening exercise which when completed will succeed in weeding out ghost workers.”
