Other items distributed include, magnesium, ORS salt, all provided towards the improvement of the well-being of those in the custodial centre.
Dahiru explained that the reason behind the visit is to ensure quality health delivery to the inmates, adding that they are entitled to enjoy quality health services being citizens of the state.
Recall that recently the state through National Malaria Elimination Programme embarked on distribution of 2.3 million ITNs.
“That is part of Gombe state effort to tackling the burden of malaria,” Dahiru said.

While assuring the team that the Insecticide Treated Nets would be used by the inmates, Garba pleaded that inmates were in need of BP apparatus thermometers.
He said, “I want to assure that the equipment will be distributed to the inmates accordingly. I wish to request for BP apparatus and thermometers for the inmates.”
