IBUBE IGWE 2021: Gombe SSG, Chief of Staff, others to receive award at new yam festival
Preparations are in top gear for the New Yam Festival and the annual Cultural festival of the Igbo people resident in Gombe State, North East, Nigeria.

The festival normally takes after the rainy season especially from the month of August, Periscope Nigeria, learnt this has been the practice of the Igbos as it symbolises the conclusion of harvest and the beginning of the new work circle.
However, the event is organised by the Igbo Community Welfare Association to commemorate the blessings witnessed by the farmers, and traders.

According to a letter of invitation sent to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, which was made available to our correspondent, it indicates that Njodi, and the Chief of Staff Government House, Alhaji Abubakar Inuwa Kari would be among the few dignitaries to be awarded during the colourful event.
Meanwhile, the NWANNE- DINAMBA IDI-IGBO of Gombe State, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi wishes to invite well wishers to join him and the Igbo Community in the spirit of love, Unity, solidarity and one Nigeria, on Saturday 30th October 2021 at Mac Cornel Resort Gombe.
