I’m confident i’ll play champions league, wearing the Nigerian colour – Kennedy Ugochukwu

Kennedy Ugochukwu has expressed determination to play in the champions league, adding that he would bring honour to the Nigerian colours.
Ugochukwu made this revelation in a post match interview between Lura Football Club and Castle Football Club, where he scored a brace in the first half of the match, in favor of Lura FC in the ongoing DHA Cup tournament, organised to promote grassroot sports in Kwamba Stadium, Suleja Niger State.
The first half of the match produced chances in the early minutes but were not converted, till the efforts of Kennedy came to limelight as he gave a brilliant tap into to the top corner of the post in the 20th minute of the game. The tempo of the game was still on a very high level when a fantastic chance was created almost in the same spot the first goal was scored and Kennedy did not hesitate to blast a terrible shot into the wild net to record his name again in the score sheet in the 35th minute of the game. To most of the fans who knows him and have seen him play, sees the strike as a usual thing for him but to the great amusement of other fans who are seeing him play for the first time. The second half of the game started in high spirit as Castle Football Club pressed harder to equalize and just in the 65th minute of the game, a penalty was awarded in favor of Castle FC and it was brilliantly converted by Pele, bringing the scoreline to 2 1. Closing the goal margin for Castle FC, made the match more tensed as hard tackles were made all round the midfield, leading to three yellow cards in the space of 15 minutes.
Despite the efforts of Castle FC to close the goal gap completely, Lura FC proved stubborn by making the race difficult as Belo Muhammed scored another goal for Lura FC, from the chance created by Hassan Abubakar to sum it up to 3:1 in the 80th minute.
The struggle to either equalize or score more goals continued till the blast of the final whistle.
Speaking to Kennedy after the match on his outstanding performance, scoring a brace in the first half and earning the love of the fans all through the game.
He said, “I return all glory to God”.
Speaking further about his career and dreams of becoming one of Nigerians top strikers and playing in the champions league, in his words, “I strongly believe in God and all hope is not lost, I am so confident in God and in my abilities in playing for my dear country Nigeria and in the Champions league where the best compete. Am just praying and hoping for the best opportunity to make an impact.”
The victory for Lura FC has placed the club in the second position on the table, with just a draw in the next match to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
