Supreme Court Judge buries 90-year-old mum in Gombe
A Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Justice Adamu Jauro on Wednesday, buried his 90 year-old mother, Hajiya Khadijatu Jauro, after a Jana’iza (muslim funeral prayer), at Emir’s palace.

Late Khadijatu died on Tuesday at the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe after a brief illness.
She is survived by four children, among whom are Justice Adamu Jauro, Alhaji Abdulrazak Jauro of the Gombe State Judicial Service Commission, Hajiya Aishatu Jauro and Alhaji Ahmad Jauro of the Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund and many grandchildren.

Dignitaries at the jana’iza include; Sarkin Yakin Katagum AIG Abubakar Mohammed (Rtd), Chief Judge of Sokoto State Hon. Justice Mohammed Saidu Sifawa, Gombe State government delegation was led by Prof. Ibrahim Njodi SSG Gombe State, Honourable Commissioners of: Ministry for Local Government Hon. Dasuki Jalo Waziri, Ministry of Water Resources Hon. Mijinyawa Yahaya, and that ministry of Youth Development Hon. Abubakar Aminu Musa Gombe State.

Others are; Grand Khadi Gombe of State Justice Abdullahi Usman, Emir of Akko Alh. Umar Mohd Atiku, Senior District Head of Gombe Alh. Abdulkadir Abubakar, Magajin Gwanin Misau Alhaji Abubakar Hammayo, Danmalikin Misau Alhaji Yeriman Hammayo and the Sarkin Bai of Gombe Alh. Ibrahim Yeriman Abdullahi among others.
Meanwhile, in a statement by the Government House Director of Press Ismaila Misilli, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya described the nonagenarian as a great woman.
He said , “Death of a mother could be devastating to any child but what Allah has ordained can not be questioned. We are consoled by the fact that Hajja Mama had lived to witness the growth and accomplishments of her children and left through them a lasting legacy which we would continue to cherish.”
