Gombe SSG hosts Boys Brigade in Gov’t House
The Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has commended the leadership and members of the Boys Brigade for their continued support and show of understanding to government policies and programmes.

Njodi who made the commendation when he hosted the leadership of Gombe West Battalion Council of the Boys Brigade of Nigeria in his office on Friday, also reflected with nostalgia the ugly incident that occured in 2018 where some members of the Boys Brigade lost their lives.
The SSG said as a religious organisation committed to the good of young people, government would always work towards ensuring that their activities received the necessary support.
Commenting on the proposed projects, Njodi advised them to key into platforms already created by government such as the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) skills acquisition programme and that of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) to empower their members.
He also enjoined them to liaise with the Ministry of Education in their quest to establish a comprehensive secondary School for guidance and support to their permanent secretariat complex project.
The SSG Further counselled them to remain Steadfast to the objectives of the organisation as well as support to the Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya led administration in the state.
Earlier, Leader of the deligation and Chairman of Gombe West Battalion Council of the Boys Brigade Mr. Emmanuel Eston Kundi said they were at the SSG’S Office to register appreciation for accepting to be a special guest of honour at an event put together by the command in October this year.
He also disclosed that the Boys Brigade of Nigeria is an international non- denominational christian organisation committed to the phycological and spiritual development of the youth with the aim of making responsible citizens.
