France and Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has completed a loan move to Sevilla to experience La Liga for six Months.
Anthony Martial will join Sevilla’s in Spain, as announced by the club on tuesday with the club, sitting in the second spot of the La Liga table behind Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old arrived in Seville on Tuesday afternoon and underwent his medical before signing his contract, which will be in place until June.
Due to lack of playing opportunities, and much time in the reserves, he told United’s interim coach Ralf Rangnick that he wanted to leave in January
and Rangnick accused Martial of refusing to travel to a game against Aston Villa earlier this month, a claim Martial denied.
Martial made his first appearance under Rangnick as a substitute against West Ham last weekend and contributed to Marcus Rashford’s winning goal, after being jeered by some United fans immediately he was introduced into the game.
Rangnick admitted that Martial is a talented player and undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the Premier League but there are other players in his position, the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Jadon Sancho !stating that it is his wish to leave.
He has scored only one goal in 11 appearances this term but could be a great signing for Sevilla if he can recover his goalscoring form under Julen Lopetegui in Spain.
Sevilla hopes to win the Europa League, particularly as the final will be played at their own Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in May, which will be a plus to Martial profile.
