Mailantarki Care FC stun Galadima FC of Abuja
Mailantarki Care football Academy (MCFA) continued their impressive run of form in the ongoing Galadima FC Scouting Tournament involving scouters from Denmark and Sweden giants FC Copenhagen and Malmo FC respectively holding at the Abuja’s FIFA goal project pitch.
The star game which was decided on Tuesday morning saw Mailantarki boys hit one past one of the brightest clubs and of course the hosts team just a day after beating Maracana FC with a massive 8-0 scoreline.
According to Adamu Usman Ahmed
MCFA Media officer, his team enjoyed large share of the possessions coupled with a good display of passes from the centre and across both flanks as search for an opener intensified after the blast of the first whistle. Even with that the hosts made some couple of statements in MCFA’s final third including a weak effort on goal which was easily gathered by MCFA’s goalie Sulaiman Hussaini.
In a swift response, which saw the lads embarked on a great attacking run that ended to the part of Sadiq MB, the forward reacted with an attempt straight at Galadima goalie Mathies as MCFA set eyes on goal for the first time in 7 minutes.
Following an unending pressure from MCFA boys in white top and green short which forced the hosts to concede a freekick in their final third after Sadiq MB challenged from behind down the left flank.
Sadiq Abdullahi delivered set his namesake Sadiq MB on run from the resultant set-piece who dribbled past his marker deep inside box before lofting a brilliant effort over the goalkeeper and into the far post to open the scoring for the Mailantarki boys 5 minutes before the break.
Galadima FC had their shot topper Mathies Fidelis to thank for producing remarkable saves off Mouro Muhammed, Shamsudeen Ibrahim and Victor Ochie’s glaring chances on different occasions after the restart.
Ishaq Abdulqadir missed the golden opportunity to at least share the spoils with the lively MCFA after substitute Nura Abdullahi handled the ball inside our box, the former blazed just inches away of the right post from the penalty spot.
The results means MCFA rounded up the Galadima FC scouting tournament with a resounding victory before heading to another scouting program scheduled to kick off in Keffi on Wednesday 19th January.
