Pray for peace, Gov Yahaya tasks citizens, as Gombe SSG, Prof Njodi bags Cikasoron Mona title
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has again tasked the people of the State on continued prayers for the peaceful co-existence.
Yahaya made the appeal when he played host to Mona Community Development Association (MCDA), led by the District Head of Mona, Monday Shuwa Nakakileng on a thank you visit.
He also called on the people of the State to be more security conscious inview of the insecurity bedeviling the nation, by reporting suspicious people in their respective communities to relevant authorities.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Yahaya assured the community of more developmental projects in the area.
The Governor said the road project linking Mona Community to the Gombe -Yala Road execution is in fulfilment of his campaign promise to the people, assuring them that plan is on to link them with Dadiya Community in that axis.
Speaking earlier, District Head of Mona, Nakakileng accompanied by the District Head of Fitilai and leaders of the community said they were at the Government House to appreciate Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and APC led administration for constructing the road linking them to Gombe – Yola Highway.
He disclosed that the execution of the road project by Governor Inuwa Yahaya has ushered a new lease of life to the community who had yearned for it for a long time.
The District head further revealed that in appreciation,the Community has unanimously declared support for Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s second term in office and appealed for the extension of the road to Dadiya.
Meanwhile, in appreciation of of the key role of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Njodi in fastracking Government development initiatives, the Mona District Council had conferred on him with the traditional title of Cikasoron Mona, adding to the momentous recognition of Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi’s service to humanity.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of the traditional title witnessed by Commissioner for Water resources, Mijinyawa Yahaya, Special Adviser on legal matters,Barr.Caleb Ubale, DG Due Process Babayola Mohammed and Permanent Secretary SS & Pol Mohammed A. Umar among other Government functionaries.
