NYSC inaugurates Covid-19 vanguard in Gombe
No fewer than 20 batch A stream II corps members have inaugurated as Vanguard and Enforcement/Implementation Committee.
According to the State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Ada Imoni, said the committee was set up to enlighten, educate corps members on Coronavirus transmission, and prevention.
She revealed this on Wednesday, shortly after the swearing in of 1,269 corps members at NYSC temporary orientation camp Amada Gombe State.
Delivering lecture on Covid 19 mode of transmission, prevention and Control,Dr. John Lamingo and Dr. Sadiq Muhammad, of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control Surveillance and Infection, Protection and Control Officers respectively, gave extensive lectures and practical demonstrations on washing of hands under running water and proper use of the facemask.
Imoni, called on the Covid 19 Vanguard and Enforcement/Implementation Committee to be alert to their responsibilities by ensuring that Camp participants adhered strictly to the safety protocols of Covid-19 and sanctioning defaulters.
