Gombe APC rules out possiblity of anyone picking Guber nomination form aside Gov Yahaya
Public Secretary, Gombe State chapter of All Progressives Congress Moses Kyari has ruled out the possibility for anyone to contest against the incumbent Governor Muhammadu Yahaya.
Kyari revealed that the governor has the right of first refusal, he made this revelation while responding to questions from journalists at a press briefing in Gombe, at the party secretariat.
He disclosed that it is not possible to change a winning team, adding that no one has taking the gubernatorial form in the party to run against the Governor.
“And I can assure you that no one is going to come out. If we are really practicing democracy, he has the right of first refusal as the incumbent Governor. What are you looking for, you have a Governor that is performing and you want to change him and put somebody that you don’t know. No, you don’t change a winning team when the match is on.”
The Publicity scribe added that the call by six APC groups on Governor Muhammadu Yahaya to run for second term was a testimony of how well his administration has performed in the state.
He said, “Consequently, we the entire members of the executive of APC at wards, Local Government areas and the state, having sat and examined this humongous achievements have unanimously agreed and are calling on Governor Inuwa Yahaya to seek for re-election for the second term as Governor of Gombe State.
“This is following the footsteps of various support groups who have also called on him to seek for re-election. Certainly, ours and theirs are confirmation that the voice of the people is the voice of God.”
Meanwhile, no fewer than six supports are angling to purchase 50 million APC form for Governor Yahaya to run for second term.
They include; Inuwa 4+4 group, Inuwa 4+4 initiative, Inuwa Women Support Group and Student Support group for Inuwa.
Speaking, Secretary of Inuwa 4+4 group, Yakubu Bayambe said Governor Yahaya has worked assiduously to deserve second term in office.
According to him, the administration of Governor Yahaya has transformed the landscape of Gombe State in the past three years and should therefore be given another four years to continue the good work that he has started.
Bayambe, “Let us take for example the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park. The multi million naira park is open not only to indigenes of Gombe State alone but also the North East and the entire country. This industrial park is going to serve as the hub for industrial activities in the North East. It is a lasting legacy for the people of Gombe State.
“This is addition to the health facilities in all the 114 wards across the eleven local government areas of the state,” he said.
The groups said they are ready to donate N50 million for the purchase of nomination form for the Governor.”
