Gombe Due Process raises the alarm on fake bank account
The Due Process Bureau, Gombe State has received complaints from individuals on the activities of some unauthorised persons posing as the staff of the Bureau to defraud unsuspecting clients.
According to Babayola Isa
Director General, Due Process Bureau, warned residents not to fall prey to the sharp of those posing to be fronting for the bureau.
He made this disclosure on Friday, in a press release obtained by our correspondent in Gombe.
The statement partly read, “We therefore wish to inform all contractors, suppliers and service providers that the Bureau does not operate any account for the purpose of payment of fees/charges.
For the benefit of doubt, all payments in this regard are made through Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR), into the Gombe State Single Treasury Account (TSA).”
While urging the warning unsuspecting public, Isa disclosed that the Bureau would not be accountable for repaying lost resources to the alleged fraudsters.
“The public is therefore required to note this and ignore anyone posing as the staff of the Bureau. The Due Process Office will not be liable for any transactions outside the established official channel.
