Gombe SSG salutes well wishers over show of concern
The Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has extended his gratitude to his supporters following their show of love, over the demise of his beloved sister Maryam.

Recall that Maryam Abubakar’s death was announced on Sunday, and has since attracted hundreds of friends, associates who paid their condolence visits to the family.
The SSG’s appreciation was contained in a press statement issued to Periscope Nigeria, by the Information Officer Secretary to the State Government’s office Joshua Danmalam.
Njodi described the show of love, care and solidarity accorded to him during his moment of grief as heartwarming and unprecedented.
“Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi wishes to appreciate friends and associates who took time off from their busy schedule to identify with him during the death of his Sister Maryam Abubakar whose sad event occurred on Sunday,” the statement partly read.
The statement specifically noted the solidarity of the Governor of Gombe State His Excellency Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, His dear Wife the first lady Dr. Asama’u Inuwa Yahaya, His Excellency Manassah Daniel Jatau, the Deputy Governor of Gombe State.

Others worthy of mention are; Members of the National Assembly namely; Senator B. K. Amos, Hon. Victor Mela Danzariya and Hon. Simon Elisha Karu.
The Rt.Hon.Speaker and Members of the State House of Assembly, the Chief of Judge of Gombe State and Justices of the High Court, the State Grand Khadi and Khadis’ of the Sharia Court of Appeal, the Chief of Staff Government House, Head of Civil Service, Honourable Commissioners, Chairmen of Boards and Commissions, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries Directors Generals and SSA’s/ SA’s to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Similarly, the statement wishes to thank the Commissioners of Police in Gombe and Jigawa State, the SDS Gombe State Command, Commandant of NSCDC, the Chairman and leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), PDP elders forum, Local Government Chairmen, the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC Gombe State Chapter, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Gombe State Chapter, the Vice Chancellor, Management and Staff of the Gombe State University (GSU), the Vice Chancellor, Management and staff of University of Maiduguri, the Vice Chancellor and Management of Federal University of Kashere FUK, the Provost/ Staff College of Nursing Gombe, Provost/Staff College of Health Science and technology Kaltungo, the entire Staff of the Government House and that of the SSG’s office.

The Statement described the text messages, calls and prayers offered by friends and Associates as a soothing relief to the family during their trying period. It however prayed the Almighty Allah to rewards all abundantly.
