Gov Yahaya assures Kaltungo Foundation of support
Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has assured the Kaltungo People Progressive Foundation KPPF of support in its course of fostering sustainable development through unity and peaceful well-being of the entire chiefdom.

Speaking through the Secretary to the State Government SSG Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi during the official take off ceremony of the foundation in Kaltungo, Governor Yahaya, Commending the founders for their foresight in bringing the desired development to the area in line with the vision of the state government.
Yahaya further invited the leadership of the foundation for close meeting to identify areas that would require government for the benefit of the citizenry.
He assured that his administration would work closely with the foundation to achieve its lofty objectives especially those directed at youth empowerment and emancipation.
Also speaking, Mai Kaltungo Engr. Saleh Mohammed praised the men and women behind the establishment of the foundation and assured them mobilisation of sons and daughters of the chiefdom towards achieving its goals.
The Mai Kaltungo also advised the leadership of the foundation to be prudent, transparent and accountable in the conduct of the foundation’s affairs.
The president of the foundation Rev. Luka Zakka Ture said the vision and mission of the foundation is to among others collaborate with relevant government agencies in ensuring drug free society, youth empowerment as well as inculcate good moral values among the youth.
Ture disclosed that community initiatives would support entrepreneurship for self reliance, adding that they would be encouraged to guarantee sustainable economic advancement of the people.
He said the foundation is non political, religious or tribal with a seven-man board of trustees drawn from all sections of Kaltungo chiefdom.
The Guest speaker, Dr. Seni James Barka, Provost college of Health Sciences and Technology Kaltungo who spoke extensively on the the role of education in sustainable community development tasked the foundation and people of the area to pay serious attention to education as no meaningful development could be achieved where ignorance and illiteracy prevailed.
The flag off ceremony which attracted prominent personalities include; traditional title holders, people from the Ivory tower, serving and former legislators. Also, featured cultural displays and donations for the smooth operation of the foundation.
