NIPS inspects Muhammadu Buhari’s Park
The Senior Executive Course 44 of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies Kuru in the state for a local study tour on Monday, inspected the ongoing Muhammadu Buhari industrial Park project Dadinkowa.
The Commissioner Ministry of Trade and Industries Alhaji Nasiru Mohammed Aliyu who received and conducted the team informed them that the park covers expanse of one thousand hectare of land designed to host small, medium and large industries mainly agro based.

Represented by the Director Administration and Finance Babaji Ahmed, announced that the multi billion naira project also target over 50,000 thousand direct and indirect jobs for teeming skilled and unskilled youths in state and beyond.
He disclosed that the project is also conceived with the vision of industrialising the state to ensure financial independence in the near future calling on potential investor come to the State and invest.
The Commissioner said the Industrial Park project was awarded in six lots with the first covering 12 km road network power infrastructure and other ground works already at 45 percent completion.
Aliyu further explained that arrangement has reached advanced stage with the Federal Ministry of Power for the supply of about 20 mega watts from the Dadinkowa hydro power plant to ensure uninterrupted power to the park.
At the Dadinkowa hydro power plant the team was received by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Idris Buba Yambiyu on behalf of the Commissioner Alhaji Shehu Madugu.

While the NIPSS participants were conducted round by the representative of operating company Engineer Jasmine Jayahara.
While at the Dam site the Area Manager Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority Engr. Caleb Tawana managers of dam explained that the Dadinkowa Dam is a multi purpose in design.
Tawana said the components of the dam were to serve irrigation, hydro power and Water supply but regretted that since completion and commissioning many years back it has not been used.
