North-East youths seek presidential slot
A youth group under the the aegis of Ibrahim Presidential Campaign organisation has urged All Progressives Congress (APC), to choose Dr. Ibrahim El-Dabi as its flag bearer.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Sadiq Maisiyasa, said El-Dabi is a resourceful youth worthy of taking over the saddle of leadership from Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as president.
According to the group, the candidate was equipped with the basic requisite to reposition the country as a chartered accountant, adding that worst still their candidate should be considered for vice presidential slot.
Maisiyasa said, “I am deeply humbled and honoured to be here in the midst of great men and women of intellect and highly energised youth who believe in the capacity and ability of our able candidate, Dr Ibrahim Dauda El-Dabi.
“This is arguably one of the happiest day of our life. I am overwhelmed by joy to see this mammoth crowd of supporters and I believe, our President by God’s grace will be much happier with our resolve, our commitment and support for his candidacy here in Gombe.”
The group noted that their candidate has the capacity to ensure progress, following his service cutting across various sphere of human endeavour.
“Our Candidate, unlike most of the candidates who have so far indicated interest to vie for the office of the President, Dr. El-Dabi is a youth full of energy and vigor.
“Dr Ibrahim Bello Dauda El-dabi is a professional chartered accountant and a seasoned politician. Dr Ibrahim is one of the chieftain of the then Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), founded by General Muhammadu Buhari in 2009 as a vehicle for the April 2011 elections. In 2019, he was the National Secretary of the Central Working Committee of the APC Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team, as well as a member of the Support Groups Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and Director of Operations to the Buhari Support Organisations (BSO).
“Today, Dr El-Dabi is one the most active youth politician in the APC, the largest political party in Africa. Dr. EL-Dabi is a detribalised Nigerian politician whose only aim is to take Nigeria to the level of development and progress it deserves.
Issues of insecurity, economic development, job creation and youths and women empowerment, agriculture and industrialisation are the key areas his administration will focus on if given the mandate come 2023,” Maisiyasa added.
