Senator Goje wins fourth-term bid to represent Gombe Central Senatorial district

A Serving senator, Muhammad Danjuma Goje and a two- term Governor of Gombe State has won his bid to represent Central district in the Senate.
The senator defeated two senatorial aspirants to clinch the senatorial seat of Gombe Central in a keenly contested APC Primary election on Saturday, in Kumo, the headquarters of Akko Local Government Area of the state.

The aspirants defeated included the former Minister of Transportation and One- time senator, Bar.Senator Idris Abdullahi who scored 2 votes while Abubakar Habu Muzau scored 3 votes respectively.
Announcing the results in Kumo on Saturday, the Chairman of APC Primary election in Gombe, Dr. Danjuma Dabo said that Senator Mohammed Danjuma Goje scored 100 votes to beat the two contestants.

After the announcement, the crowd went into jubilation as their senator had defeated the aspirants who vowed to retire Goje politically.
