NUJ lauds Gombe Govt over ultra modern primary school
The Deputy President of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Alhassan Yahya has lauded Governor Muhammadu Yahaya over the commissioning of ultra modern Alabura model primary & Junior Secondary School in Gombe State.
Yahya made this disclosure on Tuesday in a interview with our correspondent.

He disclosed that the construction of a standard primary and junior secondary school would help to mitigate the increasing rate of out-of-school children which the state is grappling with.
The recently commissioned school has two blocks of 18 classrooms each, totalling 36 classrooms, two offices, two staff rooms and two Computer rooms (e-Library), furnished with modern facilities with sporting facilities.
The Deputy President also urged other leaders to replicate this act which he described as development stride, geared towards ensuring assured future for the people of Kumbiya Kumbiya.
“I wish to appreciate the government for this gigantic project. I believe it will go a long way in improving enrolment and reducing out-of-school children. As a professional body others should come and emulate. I really appreciate it,” Yahya said.
The Deputy National President urged the government to replicate the project across other local government areas, stressing the need to delve human development.
He added, “It should be built across other constituencies to reduce out-of-school children in Gombe State, it happens to be in the centre we know the influx of internally displaced persons are alarming with such project our education is going to improve.
“Education and Health are very important thematic areas, and he is doing well in both. We will commend where necessary and critic also one area in need of attention human development it is lagging.”
