Mailantarki mourns Ajiyan Gombe passage, says loss unforgettable
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), governorship candidate in Gombe state Hon. Khamisu Mailantarki, has expressed sadness over the demise of a kingmaker in Gombe emirate Haruna Abdullahi, describing the passage as unforgettable in the state.
Mailantarki in his condolence message obtained by Periscope Nigeria on Thursday, said Abdullahi who doubled as Ajiyan Gombe and district head of Kwami was a great traditional icon that contributed immensely towards building peace.
The NNPP Gubernatorial candidate noted that the deceased distinguished himself in promoting harmonious co-existence among the residents of his district and the state at large.

The statement partly read, “The passing away of the traditional leader is a huge loss to Kwami local government and Gombe state because he was an iconic figure and revered leader who rendered selfless service to humanity throughout his reign.
“Late Haruna Abdullahi has left behind huge vacuum in the state as everyone is going to miss his fatherly guidance and counsels.”
Our correspondent reports that the revered traditional ruler died after brief ailment on Monday at the age of 94.
