2022 Gombe NYSC batch B stream II SAED ends

The Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), Programme introduced into the NYSC Orientation Course contents in 2012 has been a great source of inspiration to a lot of Corps members as they journey to self actualisation and financial independence.

State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mrs Ada Imoni made this disclosure while declaring close the 2022 Batch ‘B’Stream II SAED Closing ceremony and Exhibition, at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada Gombe State.

Imoni, implored them to put to use skills they acquired during the hands-on training on camp and also continue with the post camp training with their various trainers in order to be masters of their chosen skills.

Speaking on Collaboration with Partners, the State Coordinator maintained that the Scheme has through the years partnered with various financial institutions to make soft loans accessible to Corps members, urging them to take advantage of the opportunity and access loan from institutions like Access Bank, Unity Bank, Nirsal micro Finance Bank and Central Bank among others.
She said, “As you strive to build conglomerates in the future , I wish to appeal to you not to despise meagre beginnings , because in most cases, out of such ,mighty business empires are built.”
The peak of the Programme was competition in the following classes Make up and gele, Beads making,shoe making, fashion design and tailoring and knitting.
Periscope Nigeria reports that Platoon five emerged overall best in the competition.
