Debriefing: NYSC Coordinator cautions Corps members on partisan politics, hate speech, others

The State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Ada Imoni, has cautioned the 2022 Batch B Stream II Corps members deployed to Gombe State on partisan politics.
Imoni made this disclosure during her debriefing at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada, Gombe State.

According to her, as good ambassadors of their families and Institutions of higher learning, they would be expected to give the nation free ,fair and credible elections, come 2023.
She called on them to be non partisan and not grant press interview on politics, the Scheme or any other thing without the consent of NYSC Management.
On their place of primary assignment and other cardinal Programmes of the NYSC, the State Coordinator urged them to mingle with members of their host Communities, respect their culture and traditions and desist from hate speech or anything that could incite crisis.

While imploring them to follow the channel of communication as they were taught, whenever the need arises, Imoni added, “on no account should Corps members use the social media to promote violence, Hate speech, cause disunity in any form or channel their grievances.”
The State Coordinator also spoke on use of designated motor parks to travel, “at all times, use of transit lodge or Military / Police barracks when it’s past 6pm and still in transit, monthly biometrics clearance and the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS ) among other things,” Imoni added.
