Strike: 100 level students to resume in GSU
Management of Gombe State University (GSU), on Thursday urged 100 level students to resume.
Periscope Nigeria reports that Academic Staff Union of Universities since Monday, February 14, 2022, at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, had embarked on industrial action due to failure of the Federal Government to meet its agreement.

Recall that since the agitation is with Federal Government, the proceeds of the agreement would be benefitted by the Academic workers in Federal institutions, pending adjustments by the various State Governments.
According to a press statement signed by the Deputy Registrar of the institution Musa Sarki, the 100 level students were to resume on the 22nd August, 2022.
The statement partly read, “Consequent upon consultations held between the various stakeholders in the University, it was resolved to allow 100 level students to report back on Monday 22nd August, 2022 to complete their registration processes, Matriculate and complete the first semester, 2021/2022 academic session.
“Accordingly, all 100 level students are to report to their respective department on Monday 22nd August, 2022.”
When contacted GSU ASUU chairman Dr. Suleiman Jauro, told our correspondent that he would provide an official position of the union after its meeting slated for Friday.
“I will only speak after a meeting of the union . Thank you,” Jauro said.
