Most people from the south sees the Northerners as people that are illiterate, rude, barbaric, violent and what-not even without actually visiting the North once.

For example, I was at Edo state last year for the National Sports Festival, meeting new people from the South, I’d tell them I’m Jonathan from Gombe state and then they’ll ask me if I’m a Christian even after saying that I’m Jonathan which is a Christian name.

This underlines how ignorant of the North people from the south actually are. Social Media paints us black when in fact, people from the North are a better people to live with.

So many people that comes from the South are always surprised and shocked at the goodness of people here in the North, little kindness and hospitality is seen as a great deal for visitors because they’re not even used to it.

However, I’ll not blame people from the south, it’s the media that paints us black and people from the south accepts it as it is which is stereotype.
Main reason for this thread is for you to know that the Northern people are good people and great humans.

Many Corp members don’t go back to their states and many who does, wish they’ll come back. Southerners who live in the North prefer staying in the North a thousand times than moving to the South.

My point is that we should all stop the hate on each other and channel all the energy on fighting bad governance, we already know our biggest problem and we should unite to fight it rather than blaming and hating each other.

I believe in the oneness of Nigeria, and with unity we can overcome all of our problems.
