Tinubu/Shettima: MGN lauds Lalong’s appointment as DG
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Movement For Greater Nigeria Director-General, Comrade Okedara Kolawole, on Saturday congratulated the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, over his appointment as Director General for Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Organisation.
Periscope Nigeria reports that Lalong was unveiled to President Muhammadu Buhari in Presidential Villa by the trio of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Kashim Shettima, and Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the presidential flag bearers and APC national chairman, respectively.
According to a press statement made available to Periscope Nigeria, Kolawole described Lalong’s appointment as a round peg in a round hole, stressing that the governor would bridge the religious lapses and lead the party to victory in the forthcoming presidential election.

Kolawole, revealed that the choice of appointing the Plateau State Governor for the position has shown that APC is fully prepared for the 2023 general election.
The statement partly read, “I give kudos to the leadership of the party for appointing Governor Lalong as the DG. He is the most competent, versatile, vocal and fit to lead the campaign of the APC presidential candidate.
“Governor Lalong is a detribalised, resourceful, ingenious and practical politician, an adept listener and a leader with the right attitude to grind out results where others cannot succeed.
“I wish to warmly congratulate a distinguished Governor, the Executive Governor of Plateau state, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong on his merited appointment and unveiling as the Director General of the Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign.”
While commending the steps taken by Tinubu and other party members in reconciling the ruling party, Kolawole said Movement For Greater Nigeria would partner with the recently appointed DG towards making sure the Tinubu/Shettima emerged victorious.
“Governor Lalong has over the years proven worthy no doubts that he is a unifier, a strategist, a mobiliser, a team-player, and a leader per excellence,” Kolawole, added.
