My Obligations for NMA Gombe: Dr Abdulsalam Khalifa Ibrahim contests for President
PRELUDE
From a state of obscurity Gombe State NMA has risen to a collosal entity among it’s peers. It is time to make it a cynosure of all eyes embedded on the milestones of its founders. With a consistent background in medical activism, leaving an endearing legacy is my mantra.
MY DRIVE
Am on a mission to serve and represent
your interest with humility, distinction and
excellence. In line with Article 2 of NMA Gombe State Chapter bye law I intend to pursue the following:
REMUNERATIONS AND ENTITLEMENTS
A cohesive and integrated approach to
secure tax relief; improved and appropriate remunerations; outstanding benefits and Entitlements from Gombe State Government through strong advocacy, dialogue and
constructive engagement.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Management of our Hospitals will be
engaged in robust discussions and plans to develop our members professionally in order to improve the health outcome of the state and promote career development. A standard has been set for MDCN registration, we shall sustain and improve on it.

SOCIAL INTERACTION
Provision of recreational activities to improve our physical and mental fitness through active sports both in and outdoor. We will make our common rooms habitable and worthy of our status to create an ambience that encourage our presence in our workplaces. Where possible make provision for common rooms that accommodate our female colleagues.
VISIBILITY:
Our impact will be felt by the community via Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and interaction with other professional bodies.
INCLUSIVITY
Considering our peculiarities, we intend to make all resolutions arrived at in our
meetings to all members via available means of communication individually or as a group and encourage them to give us feedback before the next meeting.
Every member is going to have a sense of belonging and sense of responsibility as I intend to create and operate an open door policy where communication is not a one way traffic.
WEALTH AND RESOURCES CREATION
With the approval of the congress, we will
divest our existing assets; invest on new
ones using our cooperative society and
create financial enlightenment programs for members to boost our earning capacity.
NMA BYE LAW:
Our 10-year-old bye law cannot completely address the dynamic nature of our membership, it is time to review and upgrade its content to address our peculiarities. Article 25 of the document will be activated
with your support as soon as I come into
office.
CME:
The content and delivery of our CME is
going to be user friendly in terms of
accessibility, availability and acceptability via the social connection platforms such as Zoom, google meet etc
