Cultural Carnival; once in a lifetime opportunity to learn about the diverse cultures and traditions in Nigeria.

The State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mrs Ada Imoni, made the assertion on Saturday during an even commemorating batch B stream II Corps Members cultural carnival.

Imoni urged them to see the Cultural Carnival as a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn about the culture, traditions , norms, arts and languages of the people of Nigeria.

She called on Camp participants to see the beauty in the nation’s diversity and use it to promote national unity and integration.
She maintained that, as agents of social change and ray of hope of Nigeria, the nation depends on them to embrace their differences in order to make Nigeria a better place.

Imoni said, “Making Nigeria better begins with the way you relate with your roommates, platoon mates and camp officials.
“The Camp affords you the opportunity to acquaint yourself with other people’s culture, appreciate and cherish diverse traditions and in particular, confirm our similarities as people of this wonderful nation.”
Cultural dance ranging from Edo, Fulani, Tangale, Igbo, Calabar , Sayawa, Yoruba and Hausa among others were presented, as corps members dressed in beautiful attires depicting the culture they were representing.
