Innoson Group Chairman recalls how Peter Obi encouraged his company to manufacture SUVs, pick-up vans
Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Chairman of Innoson Group of companies has recalled with nostalgia how his company received a major boost, following the former governor of Anambra State Peter Obi’s patronage.
Chukwuma, also known as Innoson lauded the Labour Party Presidential candidate for his encouragement and patronage.

He said, “Mr. Peter Obi placed orders for 500 SUVs, 700 buses, and 500 pick-up vans and that helped us a lot because he does not owe, he even paid us in advance.”
“Even when there were several criticisms that the vehicles might not be durable, he squashed the thought and charged me to prove them wrong with the production.”
According to him, Obi’s patronage was a major break that launched his establishment to many garages in the state, region and country as a whole.
“Honestly, it was a breakthrough for me in the business, that piloted me to the vehicle manufacturing market as more kinds of vehicles have been manufactured thereafter,” Chukwuma added.
