Atiku Campaign Office’s Controversy, Hon. Binta Bello Gives Reasons for Absence
Former Member of the House of Representative representing Kaltungo and Shongom federal constituency of Gombe state, Hon. Binta Bello, has described the news making the rounds on some mushrooms online platforms insinuating that there’s controversy surrounding the recent donation of office for the 2023 Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential campaigns as mischievous.
Bello noted that its script designed to cause rift between her and Jamil Gwamna and also frustrate the success of Atiku in the upcoming elections in the state.
In a statement issued to PERISCOPE NIGERIA, Hon. Bello said, no amount of treachery and mischief would spoil her relationship with Jamil Gwamna or make them derail from delivering the state to Atiku come 2023.
“My attention has been drawn to a mischievous publications on some feign online mediums that there was controversy surrounding the recent donation of campaign.
“Let me unequivocally state that, there wasn’t any controversy but the work of mischief-makers, I personally donated the office to my brother, Jamil Gwamna for his gubernatorial campaign but when he lost at the primaries, we unanimously settled to convert the same office for Atiku’s campaigns in the state.
“Gwamna has unilaterally refurbished the office, donates also some cars to Atiku when he recently visited the state and commissioned the office as I was outside the country, then where is the controversy, who said what, when and where?, my property is Jamilu’s property likewise his,” the statement said.
Bello further said that they are determined to support and solicit votes for Atiku Abubakar, “in the forthcoming Presidential election in the state and, North-East and the entire country, the agents of the mischief aren’t only enemies of the PDP, state but the North-East as whole because Atiku’s Presidency is Northeast’s project irrespective of one’s political, tribal, and religious inclination.”
