Constituency project: Simon Karu presents health centre to Purmai Community in Kaltungo LGA
The Purmai Community in Kaltungo Local Government Area, a remote village which suffered years of non-access to healthcare service has a cause to smile as the member representing Kaltungo/ Shongom Federal Constituency Simon Karu, fulfilled his campaign promises of providing a healthcare facility to ease their sufferings.

In an elaborate programme of presenting the facility to the community at Purmai, Kaltungo LGA, Karu explained that the decision was informed by his campaign promises and the need assessment carried out to ascertain the serious needs of the people.

He said, “the APC-led administration in the state has been very supportive to him in the course of meeting the yearnings of the people of his Constituency, calling on the people to reciprocate the gesture by reelecting them for more democracy dividends.

Karu noted that he has performed in all wards of his Constituency, and has given employment to many youths in the area assuring of doing more, if given the opportunity again.

He called on the state government to assist in the staffing of the health centre he has constructed and to come to the aid of the Purmai Community by constructing the road making the village accessible.
The Deputy Governor, Manassah Daniel Jatau who represented Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, at the occasion said the project addresses the real need of the people in the area.
The Deputy Governor called on the members of the community to own the project and ensure that, it is jealously protected, maintained and utilised.
He described Hon. Karu as a true representative who is doing APC proud and worthy of being given the opportunity of re-election.
In his remarks the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon.Idris Wase, lauded Karu for executing a lot of projects in his Constituency for the benefit of the people.

Represented by Hon. Victor Danzaria Mela, Member Representing Balanga-Billiri Federal Constituency, Wase, enjoined the people to appreciate the performance of Karu by renewing his mandate so that they would continue to benefit from his influence in the house.
He commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for carrying all the people along in the state irrespective of religious or tribal sentiments, calling on the people “to vote for APC from top to bottom.”
On his part, Mai Kaltungo Saleh Mohammed, commended Karu for constructing the health centre in the remote village of Purmai thereby easing their age long sufferings in accessing health care.
In his vote of thanks, the Village Head of kaleh-Aya, Haruna Musa appreciated the gesture of the member, he also appreciated the Deputy Governor, Mai Kaltungo and all those who attended the ceremony.
The Deputy Governor in company of the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Abubakar Njodi, Honourable Commissioners and Special Advisers had earlier paid a courtesy visit to the Mai Kaltungo in his Palace before proceeding to Purmai.
During the visit, the Deputy Governor informed the Mai, that they were in his domain to receive a project of a health centre constructed by one of their representatives in the National Assembly, Hon. Simon Elisha Karu.
The Deputy Governor assured the Mai and members of his Chiefdom of looking into the construction of the road leading to Purmai from Stock to open up the area towards tapping the agricultural and human resources in the area.
He also emphasised the need for an earth Dam in the area to take advantage of the vast Agricultural potentials of dry season farming.
The Mai Kaltungo appreciated the visit and informed the Deputy Governor about the abundant natural and agricultural resources that abound in the area, which could be adequately harnessed if the road is made accessible.
