Gwandum community pledges support to Gov Inuwa Yahaya’s administration
Gwandum community in Shongom Local Government Area of the State were on Wednesday at the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.

The Community said they were on a thank you visit to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for considering it a matter of State priority to award contracts for the construction of the collapsed Diga bridge and the multi billion naira Filiya – Gundale road
Among other developmental projects which cuts across Health and Education in Pero-Chonge area.
The District Head of Gwandum, Yahaya Haruna who led a team of eminent sons of the area on a thank you visit expressed the peoples appreciation to Governor Yahaya’s policies and programmes in the last three and half years.
He said the Governor displayed rare characteristics of a true leader, and embodiment of a passionate administrator who would settle for nothing to make his people happy.
While pledging the support of his people to the present administration, the District Head also informed the SSG of the community’s effort to reconstruct the palace of the District Head soliciting for Government Support to actualise the dream of the people as work, according to him has already started and plans are underway to launch an appeal fund for its completion in December this year.
Responding, Secretary to Gombe State Government Njodi, thanked the people of Gwandum and the entire Shongom Local Government Area for keeping faith with the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
He said, “it was the policy thrust of the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to ensure that no section of the State is left without the visible and physical presence of Government.”
Njodi explained that the ongoing road construction linking the area and other contiguous communities in Shongom would sure up Agricultural and commercial activities in the area.
The SSG enjoined the people of Gwandum to ensure that they delivered a block vote to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in the forthcoming 2023 election.
On the reconstruction of the District Head’s palace the SSG assured of Government commitment to the welfare of the traditional institution in the State and commended the effort of Gwandum community for embarking on the reconstruction work, adding that” Government will support Gwandum community to ensure its completion.”
