How I survived plane crashes – Adeboye
The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye has narrated two terrific experiences pertaining to how the planes he was on board risked crashing.
Adeboye made this disclosure on Sunday during its monthly thanksgiving service, which also commemorates Nigeria’s 62nd independence which was monitored by our correspondent.
The reputable clergyman was delivering a sermon ‘Perfect peace in the land, from II Chron. 7: 13-14.
Adeboye who categorised storms in various levels said peace was sure for those who pray and believe in the efficacy of their prayer through Christ.
He explained that in the first trip the tyre of the aircraft failed to come out, until over 45 minutes, adding that the tyre was deliberate attempt by God to retain his attention for communication.
Adeboye said, “I was going to London in Nigeria’s Airways of blessed memory, we got to Heathrow and the pilot said there is a little problem that the tyre at the belly of the plane refused to come out. I was travelling first class because someone bought the ticket for me that day, I knew the rich don’t want to die.”
Commenting on the reaction of those in the first class, Adeboye revealed that the atmosphere was charged with fear, adding that anointing doesn’t drive away fear.
He said, “God spoke to me and said my son you are not going to die, I wanted to talk to you I knew the moment you land they won’t let us talk and we need to talk urgently. For another 45 minutes the plane was rounding and the crisis was getting bigger. After 45 minutes when my daddy and I finished our conversation the tyre came out.”
Speaking further about his second-near death experience Adeboye noted how hunger usually disappeared during horrific times.
According to him, this time he was travelling by British Airways in an economy class because he bought it himself.
“They served us food usually the food they serve in Economy (class) is always small. I was a young man hungry young man. They gave us little food. As soon as the pilot announced that there will be storm the man sitting next to me froze, Because I have been in the storm and my daddy I ate my food. I noticed he has not eaten his food. I looked at him and said you have not eaten your food, then he asked if I understand English i said yes, you heard what the pilot said said yes. I took his food and enjoyed it and slept off,” Adeboye recalled.
He noted that soon the pilot announced that there has been a change that the storm would occur in Scotland, the General Overseer added, “My father spoke to me and said the storm was coming to London but because of you I diverted it.”
