MFGN congratulates Fashola, Adefulire-Orelope, Adeola on Conferment of National Honours
The leadership of Movement For Greater Nigeria has congratulated the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Adefulire Adejoke Orelope and the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi on their conferment of the national prestigious honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
They were among the 449 Nigerians and friends of Nigeria conferred with national honours by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja on Tuesday.
In a congratulatory message made available to Periscope Nigeria, on Wednesday, the National Director-General of Movement For Greater Nigeria, Comr Okedara Kolawole said the national honours are testament to the fact that the three Lagos politicians have contributed in no small measure to raise the bar of effective leadership and representation.
According to Okedara, “MFGN is proud of the three especially by their outstanding consistency in leaving a footprint of honour in the various capacities they are currently serving the country — the Executive and Legislative arms of government.”
While lauding their laurels, Okedara disclosed that the group was aware of their distinctive traits which has stood them out even in their current endeavours.
“The conferment of national honour on the three of them is a clear indication that they are good material anytime and anywhere, Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Joke Orelope and the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola did not come to the movement as a surprise.
“They have demonstrated capacity in administrative dexterity and leadership acumen, raising the bar of democratic culture by ensuring effective service to all Nigerians. They have used the instrumentality of closeness to the government to affect the lives of our people through massive infrastructure, people-focused policies and legislative inputs that serve the good of all Nigerians.
“We at the MFGN congratulate them and urge them to continue being good ambassadors of our great party. What this indicates is the fact that the presidential candidate of our great party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is indeed a breeder of great men and women . The three of them have a line in the leadership mentorship of Asiwaju and we are proud of them.
“It is our believe that our dear nation will reap more from their pool of experience when the incoming national government of APC is established after the awaiting victory of Asiwaju. Congratulations to the 3 of them,” the statement partly said.
