Shongom Council boss lauds Gov Yahaya’s leadership
The Chairman, Shongom local government, Mr Yohannah Nahari, says people of the state especially those resident in rural communities remained indebted to the Inuwa Yahaya APC-led administration for opening them up for development.
Nahari who made the assertion on the backdrop of the 26th years anniversary of the state creation said the people have witnessed unprecedented turn around in their livelihoods especially under the watch of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s regime.
He noted that though previous administrations have done their best Shongom Local Government had never benefitted from government projects more than now.
The Chairman particularly mentioned improvement, “in the number of schools, Primary Healthcare Facilities, Security, and above all billions of naira worth of roads construction projects ongoing in the area which are far beyond the local government to handle.”
Nahari, recalled how part of the local government has on many occasions been cut off from other parts of state and by extension the country at large by the flooding and persistent collapse of Digger bridge which has been handled effectively by the Inuwa Yahaya administration.
The ongoing construction of the Filiya- Gundale road according the chairman is another milestone in the history of the local government in addition to repairs of the Boh-Lalaipido road.
Commenting on the coming general elections and the chances of Governor InuwaYahaya’s re-election, Nahari maintained that the achievements of the incumbent governor stands him tall as the man with the best chances to win.
The chairman however appealed to electorates in the area and indeed the state to shine their eyes while voting to ensure continuity in development of the state.
He further called on political actors to play the game according to the rules to guarantee peaceful Gombe state before, during and after the elections come 2023.
