The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Taraba State, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has explained the reason why Governor Darius Ishaku is afraid of him to be Governor of Taraba state.

Bwacha, who is also the senator representing Taraba southern while speaking on Monday on channels Television sunrise daily, said he was coming to restore dignity of governance in Taraba, rebuild civil service and governor Ishaku was afraid of his tracks and wanted a candidate that would cover his tracks.

Bwacha also alleged that governor Darius Ishaku was threatened by his emergence as the APC candidate and was working with some disgruntled members of the APC to deny him the ticket through various litigations.

“Governor Darius Ishaku is threatened by my emergence. He know that by the grace of God if I am on the ballot, I will win the 2023 election.

“The governor want his party man and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Kefas Agbu to win the next election to cover his “tracks” after his eight-years administration.

“The governor want someone who will succeed him and cover his tracks. It is normal, that is the tradition in all the states, no governor will want to leave without having a successor in place.”

“I’m not disturb by the Abuja court ruling, I am optimistic that i will emerge victorious just as I won over the Jalingo court ruling.

“There are members of the APC who now wear two caps; they are neither here nor there, they have one leg here and another in the opposition. The desire of the opposition is to ensure APC don’t fill a candidate.

“It does not profit any of my co-aspirants within the APC to seek my disqualification. We are aware that the plaintiffs in both cases were sponsored by the opposition PDP in Taraba who seeks to benefit from the tragedy.

“I have evidence to defend my allegation that the local PDP in Taraba is working with some APC ex-aspirant to deny APC from being on the ballot for governorship in the 2023 general elections.

“The governor is the driving force behind one or two of the people that contested with me. It has been difficult to reach a consensus with them because, the the governor is the last person you can convince to work with me but I will not give up, I will reach out to them for peace talk,” Bwacha narrated.
