AL- FATIHIYYA MOVEMENT ENDORSES TINUBU, MATAWALLE
The Islamic Organisation, Al- Fatihiyya Movement of Nigeria has called on all Muslims in the country to join and support the APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Zamfara Governor Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun.
In a solidarity visit paid on the North-west Coordinator of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign who doubles as the Gov of Zamfara state Dr Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun on Wednesday, the islamic clerics bowed to join the campaign trail to massively support the two leaders for success in the 2023 elections.
The National body of the AL-Fatihiyya Association of Nigeria therefore endorsed the candidature of the APC Presidential candidate Tinubu as well as Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara state for the 2023 general elections. Members of the Members of the Association who unanimously announced the endorsement during the solidarity visit at Govt House Gusau promised to carry out a door to door campaign for the realisation of success of the two leaders in particular and the APC across the breath and width of the country.
The Chairman of the Shura Council of the organisation, Alhaji Nuru Murtala Zawiyya said, the decision to endorse the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Bello Matawalle’s tickets during the forth coming 2023 general elections was borne out of their assessment that the two leaders are of proven integrity and have contributed in solving the problems of Nigeria as a Nation.
He said, “their visit to Governor Bello Matawalle was to express their profound gratitude and appreciation over the assistance given to them by the Governor, as well as the Governor’s efforts in tackling issues of security in the state.”
Zawiyya pledged the group’s readiness to ensure that all Al-fahiyya members and followers vote massively for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Bello Matawalle in Zamfara state and all APC candidates across the country.
He said, “Your Excellency, our dear and dynamic Governor, friend and leader per excellence, we have not come here for politics, rather we have come here to thank you for all what you have done for us and people of Zamfara state, and at the same time to inform you that the entire members of Al-fahiyya Association of Nigeria and by extension our Tijjaniya sect in general, we are one hundred percent solidly behind your candidature come 2023, we also declare our full support to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all your APC candidates in the State.”
The National Chairman of the group Alhaji Shehu Mairiga informed the Governor that Al-fahiyya extraction across the country is solidly behind Matawalle, describing the Governor as peace maker, bridge builder and silent achiever who is the only hope for the people of Zamfara State.
Alhaji Shehu Mairiga commended Governor Bello Matawalle for standing firm to protect people of the state and provide security not only in Zamfara state but entire northwest, pointing out that as an Islamic organization, they will continue to pray and support the Governor’s success.
Governor Bello Matawalle in his response thanked the Group for finding him worthy of the visit and the award of excellence presented to him as the best Governor in security transformation.
Governor Matawalle said he is fully aware of the maximum support the Al-fahiyya Association of Nigeria is giving to the development of Zamfara state and indeed the country in general, saying their prayers and support are contributing significantly in achieving peace and tranquility in the state and the Northern part of the country.
While appreciating the group for endorsing his candidature and that of the APC Presidential candidate, Governor Matawalle assured them that as leaders they will continue to do everything humanly possible to uplift the organization.
He said, “You have shown me support for several years, and I consider it a duty as a leader to support and encourage you as an Islamic organisation for you to succeed.”
