Gombe Deputy Gov leads Govt delegation to Njodi’s Son Wedding
It was almost a roll call of who is who at wedding ceremony of Gombe SSG’s son, Bashir Ibrahim Njodi at Bubayero Jumma’at Mosque, Gombe Emir’s Palace.

The State Deputy Governor Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, led Government delegation to demonstrate solidarity to the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.

The marriage was contracted after pronouncement of payment of 100,000 naira dowry.
The Waliy of the groom; Alh. Ahmed Talban Kaltungo confirmed the payment of the bride and the Wakil of the bride Alh. Abdullahi Yuguda, confirmed receipt, pointing to the fact that all rites needed to be performed by both sides have been done according to Islamic injunctions.

Jatau in company of the Government delegation were at the venue of wedding reception at New Banquet Hall where the guests were treated to sumptuous meal.
In a goodwill message at the reception programme, Jatau congratulated the families and the couple for witnessing this very memorable day in their lives, stressing that it is a noble thing for families to train up their children to be responsible people to the point of stepping out to be independent and get married responsibly.

He enjoined the couple to be committed to the marriage vows made and live according to provisions of Islamic teachings towards attracting Allah’s blessings in their marital life.
He prayed God Almighty to grant them the patience, tolerance and spirit of forgiving one another, as well as bless them in the family.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the family of Secretary to the State Government, the Honourable Member representing Kaltungo/ Shongom Federal constituency, Hon. Simon Karu, appreciated the Governor, his Deputy and all those who identified with the family in the course of preparations and during the wedding.
Dignitaries present at the wedding include; Head of Civil Service, Alh. Bappayo Yahaya, Honourable Commissioners, Special Advisers, Chairmen of Boards, Permanent Secretaries, Members of the state House of Assembly, outgoing Police Commissioner of Gombe State, Ishola Babaita , Heads of Federal Parastatals and Paramilitary Agencies in the state, Vice Chancellor, University of Maiduguri among others.
