Gombe SSG’s Son Bashir Weds Heartthrob Amira
The Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has played host to dignitaries from across the country who were in the State to witness the wedding solemnisation of his son, Bashir Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi and his fiancee Amira Yusuf Hassan.
The Wedding Fatiha between the two love birds was presided over by the chief Imam of Gombe Central Mosque, Sheikh Barrister Ali Hammari.
Alhaji Adamu Ahmed Abdulkadir (Tolban Kaltungo), stood as the groom’s representative (Wakil), while Alhaji Abdullahi Yuguda (Former Registrar Gombe State University), served as the bride’s guardian (Waliy).
The Bride’s Waliyy, Alhaji Abdullahi Yuguda gave out Amira’s hand in marriage to Bashir Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi through his Wakil, Alhaji Adamu Ahmed Abdulkadir following the wedding rituals and pronouncement of One Hundred Thousand naira as dowry.
The Wedding Fatiha conducted at the Gombe Central Mosque was witnessed by high profile personalities and well wishers.
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, was represented by his Deputy Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau.
Other notable personalities in attendance include; Members of the Gombe State House of Assembly, the Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri Professor Aliyu Shugaba, and members of the Gombe State Executive Council.
The wedding event equally attracted members of the academia, the business community, politicians, traditional rulers, friends, associates and members of the groom’s and bride’s families among others.
Speaking at a reception in honour of the couples at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the outpouring love and solidarity from the guests as overwhelming.
Represented by the Deputy Governor Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, the Governor described marriage as a very important venture that is equally full of fragility.
“To overcome the fragility of marriage you must be patient tolerant and forgiven,”Yahaya said.
He commended the good training the groom has received which has moulded him into the fine gentleman he is.
The Governor used the medium to call on the youth to engage in useful venture that make them competitive in the society.
He appreciated the guests present at the event, maintaining that their presence added colour glamour to the wedding.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the groom’s father the member representing Kaltungo/Shongom Federal Constituency Dr.Elisha Simon Karu, appreciated guests for honouring the invitation.
