Institute appoints Rabiu Ahmed Song, North-East National Vice President
Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management has appointed Dr. Rabiu Ahmed Song North-East National Vice President.
In a notification letter obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA which was signed by Dr. Adetunberu Oludotun, President, IGPCM Governing Council said Song, was nominated following his efforts entrenching peaceful co-existence.
The IGPCM was approved by the Federal Ministry of Education and Justice, and established under the companies and allied matters act 2020.
According to the letter, Song has also been elevated as member of the institute’s governing council due to his recent appointment.
The letter partly read, “We are pleased to inform you that the Governing Council and Management of the Institute, has approved your appointment as the National Vice President, North-East Zone of the Institute. This appointment is premised on your strong desire for peace in our nation.
“By this appointment, you are a member of the Governing Council and your role is to advise and help the management to advance the vision and mission of Institute to achieve her goals.”
While explaining that the current role is a voluntary one, Oludotun noted that the institute expects to reap more from Song’s active involvement.
“We also expect, you will bring your wealth of experience, skills, network and connections to bear on the growth and development of the Institute.We are proud to have you as a member of the Governing Council of our great institute,” the letter added.
