The Nigerian Association of Nephrology Nurses Gombe State Chapter has honoured the Secretary to the State Government Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, over what it described as his excellent and exemplary leadership to the State in general and the Association in particular.

The presentation

The Gombe State chairman of the Association Baba Musa Giade represented by Ruth Iliya Sallah, said the 15th National Conference of the Association that held on the 11th of September 2022 in the capital would not have been a success without the intellectual guidance direction and support of the SSG.

The Association in a letter presented to the SSG read in part, “We really want to thank you for the support we received from the Gombe State Government aided by your intervention, this support has gone a long way and has added value to the conference beyond our expectations.”

Giade, added that the state government’s reception to the 15th National Conference of the Association was an indication that the Inuwa Yahaya’s administration placed premium not only on physical structures but on human capital development of the health sector.

Responding, Secretary to the Gombe State Government, Prof. Njodi expressed gratitude to the Association for deeming it necessary to return back the favour.

He said more than anything else, the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is committed towards the physical and human development of the of the health sector in view of the fact that health is wealth.

It was for this reason that Professor Njodi told his guests that “the present administration in the state is constructing a bigger and more befitting college of Nursing and Midwifery to address shortage of manpower in health sector.”
