QATAR 2022 WORLD CUP:Spain thrashed Costa Rica 7- 0

The Spanish national team made their debut in the 2022 World Cup with a spectacular 7-0 win over Costa Rica in the Group E opener. Luis Enrique’s troops were brilliant from start to finish, scored several very good goals and made a big statement to show Spain are serious contenders in the tournament.
Five Barcelona stars started and Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Pedri, Gavi and Ferran Torres all played brilliantly well as they secured victory.
Defeat to Spain was Costa Rica’s biggest loss in the World Cup, conceding as many goals as they did in their previous eight games in the competition.
Ferran Torres scored twice and Dani Olmo, Marco Asensio, Gavi, Carlos Soler and Alvaro Morata all scored to white-wash Costa Rica and send a strong warning to other contenders.
“This team is not going to relax,” said Spain head coach Luis Enrique.
“Germany can beat us because they are a powerhouse, but we’re going to go out and play the same way. Praise weakens, but this team is not going to relax.”
