Sarkin Shanu Bags Honorary Doctorate Degree from IHERIS University
The IHERIS University Lome has conferred honorary doctorate degree in Social and Community Development on Abubakar Muhammad Bello, also known as Sarkin Shanun Yamaltu.

Periscope Nigeria reports that Bello, is also the Coordinator of RIFAN Special Project Gombe State Chapter.
The conferment held during the institution’s annual convocation ceremony on Saturday at the Palace de Congress, Republic of Togo.
The IHERIS University Lome, commended Bello, for his giant stride and effort in promoting youth and community development in Gombe State and beyond.


It could be recalled that according to a letter made available to our correspondent, which was signed by the Registrar of the University, Dr. Adamu Muhammad Wakili, the varsity lauded his efforts.
The letter partly read, “The University having gone through your track record as an astute philanthropist, a public-spirited individual, and an accomplished administrator per excellence whose penchant for growth and development is luminous following your huge contributions to youth empowerment, skills acquisition programs and community services that have earned you a rare encomium, coupled with your unparalleled philanthropic inclination which has carved a niche for you as a worthy humanitarian ambassador.”
The conferment had in attendance prominent personalities in the West and African countries by extension, graduands of the IHERIS University Togo and all the honorary doctorate degree recipients.
The Management of IHERIS University said it has recognised Bello, following his exploits in the areas of education, health, youth and women empowerment which was all part of his numerous effort for humanity.
Wakili further added, “We are very aware of your humanitarian work in Gombe State and Nigeria by extension that is very encouraging and commendable, you’ve built schools, empowered youth and women, support religious activities, and also contribute to the food security of Nigeria at large.
“It is in recognition of these rare and distinctive qualities, the Governing Council of our University has selected you to receive our revered Honorary Doctorate Degree in Social and Community Development today among other prominent personalities within and outside Africa.”
