Vote for me an opportunity to produce another Tafawa Balewa, Atiku tells Gombe voters
Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has promised to empower businessmen in Gombe State, adding that he would activate the Dadinkowa dam in order to provide electricity and irrigation.
Atiku, who is the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), disclosed this at the Pantami stadium Gombe during his campaign.

He noted that Gombe as the centre of the North-East deserved to be more prosperous that it currently is, stressing that his presidency would rehabilitate roads linking major states of the region.
He said, “As far as I’m concerned Gombe is home coming is my own home. Let me reiterate the promises we have made if by the grace of God, by your support, we promise that we will empower Gombe. Gombe naturally is a business centre in the North-East, we promise to empower your business men to expand their businesses so that they can create more jobs for our young men and women.
We also promise that the Dadinkowa dam which was built by the PDP government to provide electricity and irrigation is reactivated for both to be made available in the North-East. We also promise that if you support us to elect a PDP government we will make sure all the roads linking Gombe with Adamawa, Borno, Yobe, Bauchi are reconstructed for the purposes of enhancing trade and commerce.”
Speaking on why a vote for him is an opportunity to produce another Prime Minister, who was from Bauchi, Atiku who is an indigene of Adamawa State assured PDP supporters about economic prosperity following the electoral success of the party.
“For the people of Gombe many of you were not born when the late prime minister Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was in office, you now have another opportunity to produce another Abubakar Tafawa Balewa in me. Do you promise to vote for PDP? Okay raise your hands let me see you!” Atiku added.
