50 Women To Benefit From Prof Njodi’s Empowerment Scheme In Kaltungo
In an effort to make people especially women self-reliant, the Secretary to Gombe State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has engaged 50 women in skills acquisition across different vocations in Kaltungo Local Governments Area.

The training currently ongoing at Mawato Hall is aimed at providing a training for 50 women into various skills after which a start up support would be given to each participant to help them cater for their families.
Declaring the training open, the Zonal Chairman of APC in Gombe South, Musa Wali Awak, described Prof Njodi as an apostle of the adage that says, ‘Teach people how to catch a fish and not how to eat the Fish.’

He said, “the training will help beneficiaries acquire the needed skills to establish or expand an existing business after which a substantial amount will be given as starter pack.”
Wali commended the foresight of Njodi, calling on participants of the programme to devout themselves to learning.
He also implored them to identify with the SSG and the government of Gombe State under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for more dividends of democracy.
