Gombe PDP Suspends Publicity Secretary, Muritala Usman
….Accuses Party Gubernatorial Candidate of masterminding his suspension

Gombe State Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been facing a lot of challenges ranging from the burning of billboards at its Governorship candidate, Alhaji Muhammad Barde, that was burnt by hoodlums and now the state Public Relations Officer (PRO), has been suspended for alleged misconduct and anti- party activities.
In the press statement that was signed by the State Secretary, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar which was made available to our Correspondent, disclosed that Murtala Usman Dukku was suspended based on alleged misconduct and for playing anti-party activities .
The statement partly reads, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gombe State Chapter has approved the suspension of its Public Relations Officer (PRO) Murtala Usman Dukku for anti-party activities and gross misconduct.
When contacted the erstwhile Publicity Secretary stated that he has just resigned, disclosing that he had waited for the party’s action in order for his actions not to be misconstrued.
He said, “I have just resigned from the party, I didn’t want anyone to say I left the party because I was in need of money. After receiving the letter I have resigned and my next action would be made known to the public. I received the letter today around 1pm and at that I have written by letter of resignation.”
He accused the candidate of the party for masterminding his suspension, adding that, “Barde is the problem of PDP in Gombe State. Before the primaries people came from the ruling party to join PDP. Barde is an opportunist.”
