Military lovebirds, Boyon, Esther tie nuptial knot in Gombe
It was a conclave of Bachama (Adamawa State) and Yoruba (Osun State) cultures on Saturday at the wedding ceremony of two military lovebirds, Longson Felix Boyon and Esther Joseph, which was held in Gombe.

The ceremony was graced by the Yoruba and Hausa communities in Nassarawo in Gombe State, the Bachama people and friends of both families along side military officers who added extra colour to the event with their scintillating military display which caught the attention of guests.
During the event, Mr Haruna Charles, the Chairman of the occasion described marriage as a blessing from God while advising the couple to be patient, tolerant and endure each other, adding that those three were key to any marriage.

Speaking further, the Chairman cautioned them against keeping secrets in their home, adding that openness was key to understanding the root of any challenges and how to solve them appropriately.
On her part, Mrs Mary Adeleke, the chairlady of the occasion advised the couple to be patient, prayerful and not allow third party access into their home and issues.
Adeleke said that most of the problems women faced in marriages today were as a result of them sharing their problems with friends and allowing their friends to contribute to their marital issues.
She advised single ladies against rushing into marriage as a result of peer pressure, adding that young ladies should prayerfully wait for their time.
The excited father of the bride, Deacon Joseph Adetipe said he felt good and grateful to God for witnessing the day which he described as the happiest day of his life.
Adetipe said “I feel so happy because this my daughter is just like the stone rejected by the builder, she is now the corner stone of the house.”
He advised them to make Jesus Christ the foundation of their union, adding that “a life without Christ is full of crises.”
The groom, Mr Boyon while speaking to our Correspondent said he was happy seeing the day.
He appreciated his family and that of his wife, friends and all those who attended the wedding.
On her part, Mrs Esther Boyon, the bride said she was grateful to God, her parents and friends who made the day colourful.
