Shongom day two: Gov Yahaya’s Campaign train visits Pero-Chonge constituency
The People of Pero- Shonge in their numbers came out to give a tumultuous welcome to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, as he criss-cross the six wards of the area namely, Bangunji, Burak, Kushi Filiya, Kwandum and Gundale for reelection campaign.
The reception accorded the Governor and his campaign team could be said to be a demonstration of Governor Inuwa’s acceptability in the area in view of the numerous development projects that impacted positively on people’s lives.
Among the major projects being undertaken by Inuwa’s administration is the ongoing Filiya – Gundale road construction worth Billions of Naira to open up the area for development abandoned for years by successive administrations in the State.
Governor Yahaya was in company of the State Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, SSG Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, DG Campaign Barr. Z.M Umar and Tinubu/ Shettima Coordinator Jamilu Gwamna among other dignitaries.
While addressing the crowds at the respective wards visited the Governor implore them to vote for all APC candidates in the coming elections to guarantee sustainable development and peace.
In Gundale, Governor Yahaya was conferred with the traditional title of “ALFAHARIN GUNDALE” in recognition of contribution to the District, Gombe State and country at large.
Presenting the letter of conferment to the Governor, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Njodi who doubles as MAKAMAN Gundale, congratulated the Governor for the well deserved recognition.
