Yuletide: Gombe Labour Party Gubernatorial candidate felicitates with Christians
…… says Light always prevails over darkness
The Gombe State Labour Party Governorship candidate, Keftin Amuga, has felicitated with Christians celebrating the Christmas season.
Amuga, said the birth of Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago ushered in restoration, redemption, hope, peace, sharing and show of love.
In his Christmas message, made available to PERISCOPE NIGERIA by his media office, Amuga said 2022 had been difficult for Gombe residents, wracked by natural disasters, economic hardship, bad policies and the “terrible news” of killings, kidnapping by unknown gunmen recently in Pobawure, Amtawalam in Billiri LGA, Difa community in Yamaltu Deba, Nyuwar and Jessu crisis in Balanga LGA amongst other negative trends under the current APC leadership in the state.
He expressed hope that Light would prevail over darkness. “Thus together, the Labour Party under my leadership will defeat evil and restore peace in Gombe state,” Amuga added.
He frowned at the incessant defection to the All Progressives Congress, PDP, NNPP, saying that the parties lacked credibility.
The Gubernatorial candidate also condemned what he described as cheap political strategies by the APC led administration in releasing the 13 Billiri youth under the custody of the security agencies for two years without any reason in the first instance
In the Christian spirit, the Gubernatorial candidate appealed to residents to “reach out to those that may be without loved ones so that they don’t have a lonely Christmas,” he said.
He also urged residents in the state to use the Christmas holiday to collect their permanent voters card PVC.
