Yuletide: Wife of Gombe State Governor, salutes christians

The wife of Gombe State Governor, Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya has called for redemption and consciousness of God as she congratulated Christians this Christmas season.
In the statement made available to our Correspondent by Bintu Aliyu Sunmonu, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on media and publicity, the wife of Governor made the call in Gombe while celebrating with christians.
She urged the Christians to celebrate Christmas by having the consciousness of God and let the joy of the season goes round to all corners and crannies of the state.
Yahaya also reechoed the need to show love and extend the joyful moments of the season to not only families,but the less privileged around us, which is one of his exemplary virtues of caring and sharing created by the birth of Jesus Christ.
She lamented the glaring hardship situation people are faced with today, saying that is a global phenomenon and urged them not to be deterred from caring for one another, rather it should serve as a weapon of goodness and tolerance for continued peaceful co-existence of the society and pray for the state and the country now election is at the corner.
“Some people are lying in the hospital very ill, some cannot afford the three square meals,some are roaming the streets without shelter , while others have lost their lives.
“Therefore, being alive today calls for thanksgiving and glorifying the almighty,” she said.
She advised women to be mindful of their childrens’ whereabout and be contented with what their spouses are able to provide for them, thereby “seeking for God’s blessings and protection upon their families which will in turn, produce a better society.”
