2023 Elections: Gov Yahaya warns trouble makers to steer clear Gombe state’s political space

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has again stressed the importance of Cultural engagements among diverse people of the state in view of its critical role in social cohesion.

Speaking at the annual Tula Cultural Festival Saturday, the Governor represented by the Secretary to the State Government SSG, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, also noted that events like cultural activities promotes unity, love and understanding needed for peaceful co-existence and development of all societies.

While assuring of his administration’s continued support to the preservation and promotion of the peoples cultural heritage, Governor Yahaya further enjoined Tula people to remain peaceful with themselves and their neighbours.

The Governor also reminded Tula people to be vigilant as electioneering campaigns goes on to ensure that trouble makers are not given opportunity to disrupt peace of the land.
He called on people of the State to use their votes wisely so that the good works started by his administration would be sustained in the next four years.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya commended the Mai Tula Abubakar Buba-Atare II for commitment to the unity and progress of Gombe State and his Chiefdom in particular.
In his remark, the Mai Tula, Atare II appreciated Governor Inuwa Yahaya for creating the atmosphere of peace that has enabled farming and commercial activities to thrive in all parts of the state.
The Mai Tula also lauded Governor Yahaya for the construction of Yiri road which he noted has been a major challenge to the communities.
Chairman of the occasion and Emir of Dukku Alhaji Haruna Abdukadir Rasheed, in his address stressed the importance of culture and tradition of any society as it brings unity and strengthens relationship amongst the diverse communities.
He said for the past two years the celebration was hindered by COVID- 19 Pandemic and commended the organisers and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for creating the enabling environment for the cultural fiesta calling on Tula people to maintained the tempo.
On his part, the President Tula Community Development Association Mr. Elias Nathan lauded the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for maintaining peace and order noting that stability of any society lies in a secure environment.
” It is without doubt that your administration has done greatly in maintaining peace and security. Your security architecture is highly commendable,” Nathan said.
Appreciating the Governor for doing a lot for the people of Tula the TCDA President assured him of their total support come 2023 for more dividends of democracy in the area.
Goodwill messages from the Senator representing Gombe South, Mr B.K Amos, Dr. Elisha Karu Member Representing Kaltungo /Shongom Federal Constituency and Majority leader Gombe State House of Assembly Yerima Ladan Gaule who all assured of support to the cultural festival as well as called for the support to the administration of Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Highlight of the occasion include; Cultural display, exhibition of Tula traditional foods and presentation of awards to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Mai Tula and outstanding sons and Daughters of Tula.
